| metadata.dc.description.other-abstract: | Mixed-methods embedded research design was adopted to the study perceptions towards the factor influences on education quality of online courses of Yaha school of Built Environment in Hainan province, China. The study was Yaha school of built environment in Hainan province, China. In the first academic semester of 2021, the study consisted of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who participated in a questionnaire survey; in a total 434 students. In addition, 10 students, freshmen through juniors, were asked to volunteer for focus group interviews, for a total of 30 people. The researcher conducted questionnaire to gather quantitative data and focus group interview was employed to garner qualitative data. The Item Objective Congruence index of all the instruments (+1) indicated that the items were valid. Descriptive statistical analysis of the quantitative data showed that the total students' perception level items were considered as of a high level. The content analysis on qualitative data spelt out the students' perceptions towards the factors influencing the quality of online courses at Yaha School of Built Environment and students' expectations and suggestions for quality of online courses. |
