metadata.dc.description.other-abstract: | The study examined whether the use of School Stage Production technique helped Grade 5 Thai students become more fluent in Chinese speaking and how satisfied the children were with the learning using School Stage Production technique. The study involved 15 students who were selected by using a clustered random sampling method from a school setting in Nonthaburi, Thailand. A mixed research method and data collection approach were applied, including four lesson plans for eight class periods, pre-test and post-test, questionnaire and interview. Based on the test results, the mean scores of the pre-test and post-test were 3.18 and 5.25, respectively with the significantly increase of the mean score by 2.07 points. Moreover, all items of the questionnaire were rated at the highest level; showing that the participants were satisfied with this teaching technique in helping them learn Chinese speaking. This study results; therefore, confirmed that using School Stage Production technique for Chinese speaking class was beneficial and effective. |
