dc.description.other-abstract | The objectives of this study were to compare grade 3 Thai students’ achievement in learning Chinese oral expression before and after using Nursery rhymes and to investigate grade 3 Thai students’ satisfaction towards using Nursery rhymes in learning Chinese. A group of 30 Thai students was the sample group. The study adopted mixed method research. Four lesson plans which lasted for 100 minutes were developed and taught for 8 sessions within the time period of one months. The quantitative data was collected through achievement tests (pre-test and post-test). The qualitative data was collected through semi-structured interview. The findings revealed that Nursery Rhymes was an effective method to enhance grade 3 Thai students’ learning achievement in learning Chinese oral expression with the post-test mean score was 36.60, which was 13.57 higher than the mean score of the pre-test of 23.03. The semi-structured interview results indicated that students enjoyed the given lessons, and were satisfied with the class activities | en_US |
