dc.description.other-abstractThe research objectives of this study are to understand the current status of teaching evaluation of visual communication design teachers in Yunnan, to construct an evaluation index system suitable for the teaching evaluation characteristics of visual communication design teachers in Yunnan universities, and to obtain specific guidelines. This study employed mixed research methods to survey visual communication design teachers and administrators in 23 universities in Yunnan Province, China. Three research tools were used: questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and focus group discussions. The results show that using the teaching evaluation index test for visual communication design teachers in Yunnan universities can assist teachers and schools in understanding the current status of their teaching abilities. Teachers are influenced and inspired by this evaluation system and can enhance their shortcomings and teaching abilities. Based on the discussion of the research results, the researcher can provide strong support for improving teaching quality and teaching improvement by constructing a scientific, comprehensive, and accurate teaching evaluation index system. It is recommended that future research adjust the professional direction to serve more teachers from different disciplinesen_US
