| dc.description.other-abstract | The purpose of this study was to evaluate the construct validity with the confirmation of a three-factors model of learning engagement in cosmetology in vocational colleges Chengdu. A mixed-method approach with quantitative and qualitative was employed. First, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to explore the significant relationships between these dimensions of student’s engagement in cosmetology classes, while the semi-structured interviews helped with deeper insights into administrators’ perspectives to better learning engagement in Cosmetology Education. Questionnaires were distributed to 372 samples of cosmetology students, The findings revealed that Cognitive and Behavioral Engagement had high significant on Learning Engagement and Academic Performance, while Emotional Engagement had a higher significant impact on Learning Motivation and Academic Performance on the cosmetology students. This study also provided the insights obtained from the administrators with guidelines that could be applied to promote effective cosmetology education in Chengdu Vocational Colleges | en_US |
