Thesis (M.F.A. (Design)) -- Rangsit University, 2019en_US
This project explores the future trends of technology. It is an effort to create a technology that disrupts. We begin by noticing the paradigm change of media, how computing power has now allowed us to develop relatively advanced products to satisfy our needs. We found the common ground of “Humanizing technology” and realized how it is not only applicable to humans but also to the individual needs of our pets. Through information we were able to obtain via our market research and analysis, it reveals that there is a gap within the current digital and physical products in the pet-tech industry. The existing products in the market do not put consideration into developing something that satisfies both users (humans and dogs). We purpose concepts that cover the holistic aspect to enhance the relationship between them. By validating our concepts through user observation and receiving inputs from the experts, it allows us to more accurately design a product that would be vital for future advancement in the pet-tech industry. The result is a dog-human centric concept design that consists of both physical and digital products. Student’sen_US
