dc.description.abstract	การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาสาเหตุและแรงจูงใจในการกระทำความผิดซ้ำของผู้ต้องขังในคดีเกี่ยวกับทรัพย์ ศึกษาแนวทางในการแก้ไขพฤติกรรมและการป้องกันทางด้านกฎหมายกับพฤติกรรมการกระทำความผิดซ้ำของผู้ต้องขังในคดีลักทรัพย์ และเสนอแนะแนวทางป้องกันการกระทำความผิดซ้าของผู้ต้องขังในคดีลักทรัพย์ ใช้การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการศึกษาเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก จากผู้ให้ข้อมูลคนสำคัญจำนวน 15 ท่าน ได้แก่ 1) กลุ่มผู้ต้องขังเด็ดขาดคดีลักทรัพย์ในเรือนจำจังหวัดปทุมธานี และ 2) กลุ่มเจ้าหน้าที่ตารวจประจำสถานีตารวจภูธรจังหวัดปทุมธานี โดยใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการศึกษาพบว่า จังหวัดปทุมธานีเป็นจังหวัดที่เขตพื้นที่ติดต่อกับกรุงเทพมหานคร ซึ่งได้มีการเปลี่ยนสภาพเป็นสังคมอย่างรวดเร็วและแฝงไปด้วยอาชญากรรมตามมา โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการกระทำความผิดฐานลักทรัพย์กลายเป็นปัญหาอาชญากรรมที่มีอัตราการกระทำผิดที่สูงในสังคมไทย ปัจจัยสาเหตุและแรงจูงใจในการกระทำความผิดซ้าของผู้ต้องขังในคดีเกี่ยวกับทรัพย์ สามารถแบ่งได้ออกเป็น 3 ประเด็นหลัก ได้แก่ 1) สภาพสภาวะเศรษฐกิจ 2) สภาพแวดล้อมทางสังคม และ 3) เพื่อน ปัจจัยที่สำคัญที่เป็นอุปสรรคในการดำเนินชีวิตหลังพ้นโทษ คือ การไม่ยอมรับจากสังคม การถูกตีตราว่าเป็นคนขี้คุก ทำให้ผู้กระทำความผิดเหล่านี้ไม่สามารถไปประกอบอาชีพที่เป็นของตนเองได้ จึงนำไปสู่กระทำความผิดซ้า ส่งผลให้ผู้กระทำความผิดล้นคุกจนกลายเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ที่ส่งผลกับระบบกระบวนการยุติธรรมไทย	en_US

dc.description.other-abstract	The objectives of this research were to examine causal factors and motives for recidivism among inmates convicted of property crimes, to explore behavioural rehabilitation approaches for preventing recidivism, and to propose measures to prevent recidivism among those inmates. Qualitative data were obtained through documentary research and in-depth interviews with 15 key informants who were a combination of convicted inmates at Pathum Thani Provincial Prison, and police officers at Pathum Thani Provincial Police Station. Content analysis was then utilised to analyse collected data and report research findings. According to the research findings, it was found that, in Pathum Thani, a province in the vicinity of Bangkok, social conditions rapidly changed., Leading to a new society in which crimes increasingly occurred, particularly a high volume of property crimes. The causal factors and motives for recidivism among inmates convicted of property crimes were categorised into three issues, including 1) economic condition, 2) social condition, and 3) acquaintances. Notably, the most important factors that contributed to their problems in lives after being released included lack of opportunities for employment, social unacceptance, and prison labelling, resulting in a growing number of recidivists. Accordingly, the excess of prisoners in penitentiaries was found to become a serious problem for the criminal justice system in Thailand	en_US
