metadata.dc.description.other-abstract: This quantitative approach study investigated whether the use of Bilibili station media and cooperative learning method to improve grade 5 Chinese students’ English speaking skill and their satisfaction in learning English speaking. The sample group consisted of 30 Chinese students in grade 5 in Yunnan Province, China. Data were collected using pretest, posttest and questionnaire methods and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and paired sample t-test. Data collection and instructional duration lasted for four weeks. The results of the pretest and the posttest showed that the students in the sample group improved their English speaking skill on the posttest ( =22.13, SD=2.01) and the pretest ( =18.96, SD=2.64), resulting in a mean difference of 3.10 points. The data collected from the questionnaire indicated that all items on the questionnaire were rated at a high level. The students had positive satisfaction with the use of Bilibili station media and cooperative learning method in teaching an English speaking course. This study proved that using Bilibili Station media instruction in the English speaking classroom was an effective way to learn English speaking.
