| metadata.dc.description.other-abstract: | This study explored the influences of factors affecting entrepreneurial intentions of undergraduate students receiving Entrepreneurship Education in the universities in Zhanjiang. The study employed both the quantitative survey to predict entrepreneurial intentions and the qualitative semi-structure interview with the content and thematic analyses to obtain administrators’ perspective to better Entrepreneurship Education in Zhanjiang universities. Questionnaires were distributed to 400 samples of the undergraduate students taking Entrepreneurial Education courses. Descriptive analysis with mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage was performed, followed by multiple regression. The results showed that Entrepreneurial Intentions was significantly influenced by the three variables of: 1) Perceived Behavioral Control; 2) Personal Attitude; and 3) Subjective Norms, from the most to the least, respectively. The findings of this study, particularly, highlighted the crucial role of Perceived Behavioral Control in that it helped students recognize their entrepreneurial intentions in becoming business owners in the future. In terms of the academic, policy, and practice, it is recommended that Entrepreneurial Intentions should be encouraged in different areas of studies and majors not only in Zhanjiang Universities but also across all the university in every region of the country |
