Abstract: The study investigated the absence of prevention systems and mechanisms against child sexual violence has caused an increased number of victims. This is mainly because the lack of preventive systems and mechanisms has encouraged the criminals of sexual violence against children to continue committing their hideous crimes in violation of child rights. The study employed interview in the North A & B in Unguja and Children Desks at Mahonda Police station, and interviewed Police officers, Public Prosecutors, Court officers and Magistrates, UNICEF and ZLSC and found out that, an absence of public awareness in addressing this issue, political effects, bureaucracy caused these cases to drop or dismiss of these cases on the court of law. In addition, documentary review found out insufficient systems and mechanisms for combating of these cases. The study recommends on improving the legal framework through systems and mechanisms and promote legal awareness to society and media should be facilitated to publicize the pubic of these cases in understanding the intricacies of the issue
