| metadata.dc.description.other-abstract: | This study aimed to compare the learning performance of Grade 5 Thai students in Chinese vocabulary skill before and after using the Task-Based Teaching Method and their satisfaction. The study employed a cluster random sampling of 30 grade 5 students from two classes with mixed gender and learning abilities. The quantitative data were collected through teaching, a Chinese vocabulary skill test (pre-test and post-test), and students’ satisfaction questionnaires. The data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test for the first research objective, while the second was analyzed based on mean, standard deviation (SD), and thematic analysis. The results of the study showed that the learning performance of Chinese vocabulary skill was significantly improved, the post-test score (x̄ =18.00, SD=2.08) was significantly higher than the pre-test score (x̄ =8.53, SD=2.03). Additionally, the p-value obtained was 0.0, which was less than 0.05 (p-value<0.05). In addition, the results from the students' satisfaction questionnaire of all participates were at the highest level. The overall score was at the highest level with a mean of 4.77 and a standard deviation of 0.48, indicated that there was a statistically significant improvement in the Chinese vocabulary skill and students' satisfaction. This study clearly showed that students were very supported of the Task-Based Teaching Method which can improve Chinese vocabulary skill and students' satisfaction |
