Abstract:	การจัดตั้งหลักสูตรเทคโนโลยีบัณฑิต สาขาวิชานักบินของมหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต นับเป็นหลักสูตแรกในประเทศไทย สำหรับการเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรีและการฝึกบินเพื่อขอรับประกาศนียบัตรนักบินพาณิชย์ตรี การดำเนินการของสถาบันการบินเป็นปีที่ 2 น่าจะมีข้อมูลเพียงพอแก่การทำวิจัย เพื่อการปรับแก้ตามความจำเป็นก่อนที่นักศึกษารุ่นแรกจะสำเร็จการศึกษาใน สองปีข้างหน้าโครงสร้างของหลักสูตรเป็นแบบมาตรฐานปริญญาตรี 4 ปี โดยเรียนภาควิชาการพื้นฐานที่ มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิตกับไปฝึกทำการบินและเรียนวิชาภาคพื้นที่โรงเรียนการบินตามหลักสูตรที่คณะกรรมการอุดมศึกษาได้ให้การรับรองขั้นต้นเมื่อ 10 กรกฎาคม 2550 นั้น เป็นการเรียนภาควิชาการที่มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิตหนึ่งปีครึ่ง ไปฝึกบินที่โรงเรียนการบินสองปี แล้วกลับมาเรียนเพื่อให้จบตามหลักสูตรของมหาวิทยาลัยอีกครึ่งปีคณะผู้วิจัยเห็นวิถีชีวิตในการปฏิบัติตนของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยกับวิถีชีวิตของศิษย์การบินมีความแตกต่างกันมาก คณะผู้วิจัยจึงเห็นว่าควรมีการพัฒนาหลักสูตรบางประการ เพื่อให้นักศึกษาสามารถปฏิบัติตนได้อย่างสอดคล้องกับการศึกษาภาควิชาการและการฝึกบิน เพื่อให้เป็นนักบินพาณิชย์ที่มีคุณสมบัติได้ตามต้องการ
